For therapists and counselors in private practice
Having a website and being found are two different things.
Here is the honest version. Referrals will always be part of your practice. But the people who could grow it are searching at eleven at night — on Google, and now on ChatGPT — and they choose twice. First from who shows up. Then from whose site feels like someone they could actually talk to. You have to win both.
We’re Awava. We build websites for therapists, and we take care of the part nobody explains to you: the SEO, the AEO, the rankings. You get a modern site built to your vibe and your brand, already built to be found. One call from you, live in ten days, nothing to write or maintain.
Who we are, and what we actually do
The website is the easy part. Being found is the work.
Most people have never heard the words below, and you should not have to learn them. Here is what they mean, and why they are ours to handle.
- SEO
Search engine optimization. The structure underneath the site that lets Google understand who you treat and where you are licensed, so it puts you in front of the person searching for exactly that.
- AEO
Answer engine optimization. People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews for a therapist the way they used to ask a friend. AEO is how those assistants learn your name and say it.
- Rankings
Where you land when someone looks. Page seven is the same as not existing. We build for the first result, and we keep it there — that is the whole job.
Proof, not promises
Position 64 to number 1.
Position 64 is page seven of Google — no client has ever found a therapist there. One month after the rebuild: first result, both states she practices in.
Rootwell Therapy’s core specialty search, from her own Search Console — not our slide deck. First result in both states, August 2026.
The part people expect to be hard
One call. The rest is ours.
Nothing to write. Nothing to learn. Nothing to maintain. You are a clinician, not a marketer — this never asks you to become one.
- You talk
Thirty minutes about your practice. Who you work with, what you treat, how you want to sound. This is the only part that needs you.
- We build
Every page written and built for you — one for each specialty, one for each state you hold a license in — so the right client lands on the right page.
- You read it
Before anyone else does. Change anything that does not sound like you. Then it goes live.
Live in 7 to 10 days·The domain is yours — registered in your name·Nothing to maintain — we keep it fast, secure and online
And no, it will not look like anyone else’s
Ten concepts. Zero templates.
Each one designed from the practice up — its own type, its own palette, its own voice. Drag through them.
Lark & Fern
Concept · Anxiety & perfectionism
Soft colour, hand-drawn edges, and a headline that lets the reader off the hook. Warm without being precious.
June Ashby, LCSW
Concept · Personal brand
One clinician run like an editorial brand — the press row does the credibility work a directory profile never will.
Rowan House
Concept · Therapy for men
A dark site that pulls it off. Low light, serious type, and a headline that names its reader in six words.
Quiet Hours
Concept · Slow practice
Three numbered moves, a strip of trees, and a palette that never raises its voice. The calm is the argument.
Cedar & Clay
Concept · First-gen & bilingual
Terracotta warmth and a headline that names exactly who it is for — in both of her languages.
The Talking Room
Concept · Brand-first group
Committed hard enough to a voice that you remember it after one visit. Loud on purpose, and still a therapy practice.
Kei Okada, LMFT
Concept · Restraint
Almost nothing on the screen, and every pixel of the emptiness is doing work. The whitespace is the brand.
Juniper Wells
Concept · Single niche
The homepage says who it is for before it says anything else. A nurse knows in one second that this is hers.
Paper Birch
Concept · Art therapy
Torn paper, taped photographs, a pencil-line palette. A site that feels made by hand, because the work is.
Alcove Therapy
Concept · Plain-English practice
Every modality gets its own page in plain English. The site proves the practice can explain things, which is the job.
Every build, no tiers
What is built in.
The things a practice actually needs its site to do — all of them, in the one price.
- It hands off to your own systemSimple Practice, TherapyNotes, Calendly, whatever you already run. A visitor is passed straight into it, so no protected health information ever touches the website.
- A page for every specialtyWhatever you actually practice, each one findable on its own, in every state you hold a license in.
- SEO and AEO, built inStructured and marked up so Google ranks you, and so ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews can tell exactly who you treat and where you are licensed. You never touch any of it.
- A phone first, and fastMost people find you on a phone, late, with one hand. That version is designed first and it loads immediately.
- A journal, if you want oneSomewhere to answer the questions clients type long before they are ready to call. It is also the part search engines read most.
- Built to your vibe, not a templateYour type, your palette, your voice, your feel. Nothing here is a theme with your name dropped into it.
Pricing
$2,497 one‑time+ $29/month hosting
Includes basic SEO and AEO.
One price, whole site — every page written, the structure underneath it, and your full read-through before launch. The $29 keeps it hosted, fast and secure.
Want to go further? We also offer advanced Google SEO and AEO as monthly packages — more pages, more ground, and your rankings maintained month after month. It is custom to your practice, so it is priced on the call, not on this page.
And we build AI assistants that answer in your own words and keep an enquiry warm while you are in session. Both are conversations for the consult — the site stands on its own either way.
Before you book
Questions therapists ask.
If yours is not here, it is a fair thing to open the call with.
- Do I have to write it?
- No. We draft the pages from one call about your practice — who you work with, what you treat, how you want to sound — and you edit anything that does not sound like you. Most people change a handful of sentences.
- What about client data and privacy?
- Your website is not where protected health information should live. The site links out to the systems you already use for intake, scheduling and records, so it stays the front door rather than somewhere client data sits.
- Can you work with the scheduling system I already use?
- Yes. Simple Practice, TherapyNotes, Calendly, whatever you have — the site links to it where clients expect to find it, instead of asking you to move.
- I already have a website. Is this a rebuild?
- Usually. If what you have is working we will tell you so. More often the structure underneath is the problem, and that is not something a new coat of paint fixes.
- How long does it take?
- Seven to ten days from kickoff, once we have your photos, your specialties and access to your domain. The call comes first, and nothing goes live until you have read it.
Let’s talk about your practice.
Thirty minutes, nothing to prepare. Tell us who you help and how you want to sound, and we take it from there.
